How NOT to hit the ball to the left and NOT to hit the ball to the right!

On Monday we talked about how I believe we must teach golfers how to take out the right side of the course and then the left side as opposed to what has been the norm – going to the practice tee and trying to learn how to hit the ball straight.

Conventional thinking might work if there was such a thing as ‘muscle memory’ and if the brain could be programmed to forget the bad shots and only remember the good ones.  If anyone out there can show or tell me how to do that, I am all ears.

I always tell people that if what you are doing is working for you, then keep doing it.  IF NOT, you may want to listen in on the advice I gave to Tiger on my YouTube lessons.  If the spine and arms move correctly, it is hard to hit the ball to the right.  If the player can retain their lag pressure, the ball will not go to the left.

About Golf For Geniuses

Mark Evershed believes that given the correct information in an organized manner, humans can learn anything. "Correct information" means acquiring knowledge and "organized manner" means proper teaching sequences. The golf swing is a series of motions that must be learned and understood and then performed in the correct sequence.
